A WORD FROM ERIN

I feel very strongly that every little one should have the basic skills to know how to float and swim (when age appropriate), and I feel privileged to be able to do this life-saving work.

WHAT WE COVER

Students should begin lessons starting at 6 months of age. At a young age, we will focus on floating for survival.

Once they can walk, we can then move into swimming techniques to get them to the side of the pool.

Then, when the child is a confident swimmer, we can work on strokes.

DO's & Don'ts

Do... Offer rewards. If they are food, it may be best to wait until all the air is out of their body.

Don't... Hot tubs are fun, but they don't allow for any real swimming. Let's keep vertical playtime to a limit and encourage horizontal swimming.

Lessons are held at my private pool at my home in Winter Park, Florida.

How long do they last?

Each lesson is 10 minutes per day and can take 4 to 8 weeks.

How frequently does the child need to go?

Your child will swim Monday-Thursday each week.

What is the cost?

Weekly fees are due every Monday and are $100 per week per child for new and refresher lessons, REGARDLESS of the number of times you can make it to the lessons that week.

What if my child is sick for one or more days?

Full payment is still due at the beginning of each week and make ups will be scheduled if needed and your scheduled time may change.

Are you only teaching survival swim or do you also teach swim strokes?

Once a child has mastered survival swim, I am able to work on beginner strokes if appropriate.
